Life Unexpected
I recently started watching Life Unexpected about a month ago. A really good friend of mine has netflix and when I went home one weekend to visit, she introduced me to the show and we started back at season one. At first I thought it was going to be super cheesy and predictable but now I quite enjoy it. The story line is about a 16 year old named Lux who wanted to find her parents so that she could be emancipation and ultimetly live with her boyfriend instead of being tossed around from foster home to foster home.
This is Lux. She is pretty mature for her age however has alot to learn. Growing up without a stable home life and parents that love her makes her character come off a little feisty and rude to her 'parents' that eventually gain custody back when she seeks emancipation. In the episode I am in now, she is deciding whether her relationship with Bug is going to far because he proposed and that is not what she wants at the moment.
This is Cate. Cate is the mother of Lux. She gave up Lux after child birth because she had nor the money or time to take care of her. This obviously becomes one of her deepest regrets once she sees Lux 16 years later. At the time, she is engaged to marry Ryan who is also her co-worker and is what one would call, 'the perfect guy'.
This is Baze. Baze was the popular high school jock who slept around and in doing so he knocked up one of the nerdy, unpopular girls, Cate. He never knew of the pregnancy and didn't know until Lux shows up with the papers. He was blindsided by this but when he calmed down he wanted to take on the responsibility and slowly trade in his lady man ways and be a respectful father. He loves Lux and tries very hard, however he secretly is crushing on Cate again and causes problems with Ryan.

Ever After
Ever After was one of my favorite movies when I was young and has continued to be on my favorites list even today. Part of the reason why I love this particular film so much is because all the girls in my family would enjoy watching it together. At the time, I was the smallest so I loved getting to be included with the 'big girls'. The movie is filled with adventure, sword fighting, masquerades, royalty, true love, family, and the fairy tale ending. It tells the 'real story' of Cinderella. I don't want to spoil the story for anyone however it doesn't stray too far from the Disney version; just in details.
Instead of both stepsisters being pure evil, only one is a selfish brat. She and the step mother have a plot to win the prince's hand in marriage and one day become queen so she can have all the money in the world. The other step sister, however, is sweet and loves Danielle as a sister. The nice step sister eventually helps with unraveling the plan of the step mother and sister.
This is one of my favorite scenes because Danielle is sold to wealthy, creepy man and ends up winning her freedom through wits and sword play.
This is the Prince and Danielle about to share true loves kiss. I love this scene!

East to West
east to west
"East To West"
"East To West"
Here I am, Lord, and I'm drowning in your sea of forgetfulness
The chains of yesterday surround me
I yearn for peace and rest
I don't want to end up where You found me
And it echoes in my mind, keeps me awake tonight
I know You've cast my sin as far as the east is from the west
And I stand before You now as though I've never sinned
But today I feel like I'm just one mistake away from You leaving me this way
Jesus, can You show me just how far the east is from the west
'cause I can't bear to see the man I've been come rising up in me again
In the arms of Your mercy I find rest
'cause You know just how far the east is from the west
From one scarred hand to the other
I start the day, the war begins, endless reminding of my sin
Time and time again Your truth is drowned out by the storm I'm in
Today I feel like I'm just one mistake away from You leaving me this way
I know You've washed me white, turned my darkness into light
I need Your peace to get me through, to get me through this night
I can't live by what I feel, but by the truth Your word reveals
I'm not holding on to You, but You're holding on to me
You're holding on to me
Jesus, You know just how far the east is from the west
I don't have to see the man I've been come rising up in me again
In the arms of Your mercy I find rest
'cause You know just how far the east is from the west

About three or four years ago, I found myself losing my faith in God. Faith has always been extremely important to me but at this point in my life I was straying off the path. I losing three people, two of which I was deeply attached to in my heart. I had been in a very controlling, immature relationship with a boy I was dating at the time for almost two years. My family decided that enough was enough and they broke us up. Besides my rebellious attitude and 'depression' I was going through, that was not the worst of my problems. I grew up in the same house as my two oldest cousins. The oldest of the two was my dearest cousin. She was my role model and I grew up wanting to be just like her. I loved her so much. At the same time as my little break-up, I started losing her little by little to drugs. To top things off, my great grandmother, who had always been my best friend and we did everything together. We even slept in the same bed. She passed away august 2009. All of these factors contributed to me losing my faith in God. This song help me start to come back to God. My mother showed it to me and it has helped me when I get down ever since. It is a reminder that God is always there for everyone and straying away from him does no good.

Disney's Fox and the Hound
This is the scene where Tod is released into the wild so he will be safe. He unfortunately wakes up a very grumpy badger and has a terrible first night in the forest.
This is a shot form one of my favorite scenes. Tod is trying to impress a female fox, Vicksy. She is not all impressed with Tod trying to be cocky by lying about his fishing skills. Finally, Big Momma helps him out by giving him a few tips about women.
These two birds are my favorite. The whole movie they are attempting to catch this caterpillar. It is so funny what they put themselves through trying to find him.

Phantom of the Opera
If you have not seen this play or seen the movie, you need to. This is one of my favorite movies of all time. I've seen it countless times and I cannot get over how awesome it is. I love musicals, Gerard Butler, love stories, fighting, Paris, theater, and twist. This story has them all. A young, talented, beautiful singer who is visited by the angel of music, falls in love with a handsome childhood sweetheart. The Opera ghost is also in love with her and the story is all about the Opera ghost's threats and attempts to win her love and affection while she sings and performs is genius work, making her extremely lovable and popular by her audience. Who will she choose? Watch the movie. There also an awesome theatrical version done in Las Vegas where you are actually sitting in the theater while the story is being told and performed around. As in, you are part of the audience in the story. This literally puts you IN the play. It is on my bucket list to go see it.
This is one of my favorite scenes of the movie. It is the Masquerade Ball and it is a beautiful scene of black and gold. I wish I could attend something like this.
Another favorite scene of mine. The love duet between Christina and Raul is fantastic. It's snowing, they are on top of the theater and they are singing of their love to each other.
Like I said before, I love Gerard Butler. He is such a versatile actor. He portrays the Phantom's character perfectly and in this scene he is royally pissed and he has come for Christina.
All American Girl
When I was in Jr. High I always had a book in my hand. I was in the library every other day.
I picked up this book one day and decided that I would try to finish it within a few weeks. It was probably the thickest book I had read so far (besides the Goblet of Fire). All American Girl took me all of four days to read. I could not set it down. The story was about a girl going through that rebellious teenage phase. She wanted to be an artist and took art classes every week. One day when she is on her way to class, she sees a man with a gun and he was walking towards a man. Due to reflex, she when and jumped on the gunman and knocked him over. This victim who he was after happened to be the president of the United States. She becomes a hero and what do you know, she happens to be sharing an art class with the president's handsome son. Of course I'm not gonna spoil the story by telling you what happens next but i'm sure you can take a guess. All American Girl is an awesome book. It inspired me to read more of Meg Cabot's works and now she is my all time favorite author.

Soccer Ball to the Face
http://youtu.be/GuFcXWvSNzY
I love laughing. I think most everybody does. I am not sure that everyone laughs at the same things but occasionally I laugh when people look silly doing things or even when people hurt themselves. I came across this particular video when I first discovered Youtube. I was looking for a video to put on my myspace page (I know, myspace is lame...but take into consideration that I was in high school and had not converted to facebook yet). Anyways, when I saw this video I seriously fell out of my computer chair and was rolling on the floor laughing. I mean, whoever does not laugh at this video has no sense of humor. Who wouldn't wanna watch some kid kicking a soccer ball into a pole while attempting to 'be cool' and make an awesome goal and then it backfire and hit him? This video made my day and still makes me crack up each time I watch it. I hope you enjoy the video like I did.

Friends
The TV show-FRIENDS
When I was little, my aunt was obsessed with the TV show, 'Friends'. Being to young to understand the humor of the show, I wouldn't stay entertained too long (lets face it, I wanted my Disney movies instead). However, when I was about 13 years old, I began to thoroughly enjoy the reruns playing over and over on TBS. It has now become my favorite show and I am proud to say I have seen every episode...more than once. Watching these six hilarious friends go through relationships, everyday problems, celebrations, and friendships is so interesting to me.
Joey is this big time, simple minded player who can 'just look at a woman and her bra popped open'. He is very smooth with the ladies however, he is 'not all there'. All of his attempts to know what he is talking about end in epic failure. The truth about Joey though, is that he is a true friend to the whole group and will always be there for them.
Monica is the 'mom' figure of the group. She's the leader and has to have everything her way. Monica is overly OCD and can't stop cleaning and organizing all the time. She can be super hard to deal with but everyone will always be fed and have everything they need at all times because Monica is always overly prepared.
Ross is Monica's nerdy brother who happens to be a bit of a hopeless romantic. Being a paleontologists, Ross has this obsession with dinosaurs and science. He is and always will be madly in love with Rachel, despite their nonstop fights and disagreements. Ross is also a wonderful father.
Rachel comes into the show as this spoiled, rich, daddy's girl who ran off before her wedding. Throughout the show she learns what it means to 'fend for herself' in the big city. Rachel has everything handed to her all her life and now she must do everything for herself. Rachel has her blonde moments and gets herself into messes but she has some major comebacks.
Chandler is one of my favorite characters. He always has some sly remark or funny pun that he likes to slide in after somebody says something. Chandler will always use humor as a defense mechanism and it works almost every time. I absolutely love his character and the way he balances out Monica when they begin their relationship.
Best character on the show, Phoebe Buffet. Completely random all the time. From her intriguing song writing to her insane theories and explanations, Phoebe steals the show. The reason why she is me favorite character is her wild personality. I love how incredibly happy and excited she is about everything.
I highly recommend this TV show for anyone who wants to have a good laugh; always entertaining for me.
