All American Girl

When I was in Jr. High I always had a book in my hand.  I was in the library every other day.

I picked up this book one day and decided that I would try to finish it within a few weeks.  It was probably the thickest book I had read so far (besides the Goblet of Fire).  All American Girl  took me all of four days to read.  I could not set it down.  The story was about a girl going through that rebellious teenage phase.  She wanted to be an artist and took art classes every week.  One day when she is on her way to class, she sees a man with a gun and he was walking towards a man.  Due to reflex, she when and jumped on the gunman and knocked him over.  This victim who he was after happened to be the president of the United States.  She becomes a hero and what do you know, she happens to be sharing an art class with the president's handsome son.  Of course I'm not gonna spoil the story by telling you what happens  next but i'm sure you can take a guess.  All American Girl is an awesome book.  It inspired me to read more of Meg Cabot's works and now she is my all time favorite author.
